Corrupt data.
Workaround/Fix
Please perform the following steps.
1. Update firmware to Special Firmware GC254.
Follow the firmware update procedure detailed in the
Service Manual.
2. Backup all HDD Data and network settings. This can be performed by changing software switch 72 to
Hex 04. Then under [Utility], [Administrator Settings], choose [External Memory Backup] and
export. This can export:
Address Book
Authentication Data
Network Settings
Remote Access Settings
User Settings
Administrator Settings
Note: If the machine has Authentication or Account Track data to be backed up, it is advised to use
PageScope Data Administrator or HDD Data backup.
3. Perform Clear All Data. Enter Service Mode >[
System 1] >
[Initialization] >[
Clear All Data].
Press the Start key and reboot when prompted.
4. Format Emmcb Physical. To be able to format the Emmcb the HDD must be unset in Service Mode >
[System 2] >
[HDD] and unplugged. Then, go to Service Mode >
[State Confirmation] >
[Memory/Storage Adjustment] >
[Format] and select Physical.
5. Format Emmcb Logical. To be able to format the Emmcb the HDD must be unset in Service Mode >
[System 2] >
[HDD] and unplugged. Then, go to Service Mode >
[State Confirmation] >
[Memory/Storage Adjustment] >
[Format] and select Logical.
6. Format HDD Physical. Reconnect the HDD and set it to installed in Service Mode >
[System 2] >
[HDD]. Then perform a physical HDD Format, Service Mode >
[State Confirmation] >
[Memory/Storage Adjustment] >
[Format] and select Physical.
7. Format HDD Logical. Perform a physical HDD Format, Service Mode >
[State Confirmation] >
[Memory/Storage Adjustment] >
[Format] and select Physical.
8. Perform one more format in Administrator Mode. To format go to [Utility], [Administrator Mode],
[Security Settings], [Storage Management Settings], [Format].
Note: After formatting make sure to install latest base or special firmware. Also reinstall movie data,
voice data, OCR dictionary data and PDF/A fonts if necessary.
9. As stated in the last step, install the latest base or special firmware, or you may receive a CD012
Mount Error due to unformatted HDD.
